Step 1 — Mandatory verification

To enter Cape Verde, European nationals must hold a passport valid for at least 6 months after the planned return date.

Mandatory Pre-Registration

Regardless of the length or purpose of stay, every non-Cape Verdean traveler must complete an EASE pre-registration at least five days before arrival. During this process, the traveler enters their passport details, expected entry and exit dates, flight number, and accommodation details.

Visa Requirements by Nationality

French nationals and citizens of the European Union and Switzerland are exempt from visa requirements for stays of up to 30 days. For stays longer than 30 days (up to 90 days), a visa is mandatory and must be purchased from the consulate.

Required Documents

  • Passport valid for at least 6 months after the planned return date
  • Return flight ticket or proof of onward travel
  • Proof of accommodation or invitation letter
  • Passport with at least 3 blank pages, including 2 facing pages
  • Proof of TSA payment (included in the EASE)
