Cape Verde is an archipelago of 10 islands, 9 of which are inhabited. Traveling between islands is essential to discover the diversity of the archipelago. Two main options are available: domestic flights and ferries.

Inter-island flights

The national airline TACV Cabo Verde Airlines (Bestfly Cabo Verde) operates most inter-island routes. Flights last between 20 and 60 minutes depending on the destination.

  • Praia (Santiago) ↔ Sal: ~45 min, several flights daily
  • Praia (Santiago) ↔ São Vicente: ~40 min, daily
  • Praia (Santiago) ↔ Boa Vista: ~35 min, daily
  • Praia (Santiago) ↔ Fogo: ~25 min, several times per week
  • Sal ↔ Boa Vista: ~20 min, daily
  • Sal ↔ São Vicente: ~45 min, several times per week
  • São Vicente ↔ Santo Antão: no flights — ferry only
